The Brindled Mad Toms are set up in pairs or trios in a tank setup donated to us by Walmart. Their tank layout includes a rock cave, a plastic "plant," and an upside down flower pot. The flower pot has a large hole drilled in the bottom to entice the pair to venture inside to deposit their eggs. Flower pots are checked for eggs 3-4 times per week. Once eggs are laid, the male will guard them.
